Team Chevron’s overall goal is to promote Human Energy through cycling fitness as well as demonstrating the Company’s commitment to making California a better place. Volunteerism remains a core value at Chevron and employees in California dedicate their time to serve communities through the Chevron Humankind program. Team Chevron is open to employees, retirees, contractors, family members and friends. Health and safety for members is promoted through training rides which have an emphasis on learning and using safe riding skills. Team Chevron believes zero accidents is attainable.
Best Buddies Challenge – Hearst Castle: September 8, 2012
Supporting Best Buddies helps create opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment and leadership development for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The route is down the majestic Pacific Coast Highway from Carmel to San Simeon, CA. Select from a 100, 62, 30 or 15-mile bike ride, or a 3K walk or 5K run led by Olympic gold medalist Carl Lewis. MS150 – Waves to Wine: September 22-23, 2012
Be one of more than 2,000 riders committed to raising funds toward a world free of MS, while enjoying incredible views and stunning landscapes as the course takes you from San Francisco to wine country. The route includes an option of miles, including 40, 75 or 100 mile routes on Saturday, and 50 or 75 mile routes on Sunday. Team Chevron’s fundraising goal is 100 riders raising $100,000.
